New Ronald McDonald House of Dallas

Today pediatric medical services in Dallas are expanding at an unprecedented rate as the result of Dallas’ growing reputation as a premier pediatric care destination.  Consequently, the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas has experienced increasing demand for its services and must grow to accommodate the seriously ill and injured children and their families needing our services.

A new 60,000 square foot Ronald McDonald House is being built in the Southwestern Medical District ½ mile from Children’s Medical Center and 1 ½ miles from Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; the two largest referring hospitals to the Ronald McDonald House. Please contact Courtney McLain, Director of Development, at 214-631-7354 for information on participating in this exciting new project.

The new Ronald McDonald House will serve 60 families nightly and consist of:

  • 54 Bedrooms with private bathrooms
  • 6 transplant suites for children receiving bone marrow and organ transplants
  • Playroom
  • Game Room
  • Library
  • Small living areas
  • Chapel
  • Meditation Garden
  • Outdoor Play Area and Sport Court
  • Day Respite Room where non resident families of sick children can gather, enjoy snacks, access the internet, do laundry, or simply relax
  • Study loft
  • Technological resources to assist children in keeping up with schoolwork and parents in  telecommuting with work

The new House will have the same warm home like feel of the current House and continue to provide:

  • Housing for up to five family members nightly
  • Three meals daily
  • Transportation to and from area hospitals
  • Holiday & birthday celebrations
  • Recreational activities
  • Professionally facilitated support groups
