Private Bedrooms — Up to 5 people
may stay in a room in the House. Most bedrooms have 2 single beds and
additional mats/cots/cribs are available
as needed. Wheel-chair accessible rooms are also available.
Three Meals Daily — Generous community groups provide meals that are
served in the dining room. Residents may prepare their own food in
the house or may choose from our well-stocked pantry.
Transportation — Volunteers and
staff provide scheduled transportation for resident families to hospitals
in the immediate area. This must be scheduled at the front desk.
Laundry Facility — Residents may
take advantage of a laundry room located in the House.
Activities for Patients and Siblings — In addition to inside and outside
play areas, children may participate in crafts, games, movie
nights, visits from zoo animals, therapy dogs, birthday parties and
seasonal celebrations
organized by the volunteers at the House.
Family Assistance Fund — This fund can provide financial aid to the neediest
resident families for medical equipment and supplies and other needs as identified.
Wilma Potter Scholarship — Named in honor of our long-time resident manager,
the general purpose of this scholarship is to assist current and former
patients and their immediate family members in pursuing higher education.
